Largest mural I have seen 94ms long by 4ms high.
Gowrie Park lies at the foot of Mount Roland and is a former workers’ village for the Tasmanian Hydro-electric scheme.
A number of dams and power stations were built on the Forth River and Gowrie Park once housed over 2,500 workers. These days it is virtually a ghost town but comes a live once a year when the Rodeo is on.
We camped next to the Rodeo grounds and O’Niells Creek. Caught a brown trout for dinner.
