Our gracious hosts Shirley and Kelley drove us to the port of Southampton to board the P&O ship Oriana for the 50 day voyage to Australia.
After saying our farewells we had a smooth check in and after only a short wait we were soon on the ship and enjoying lunch while waiting for our cabin to be ready.
The Oriana departed around 6pm to the sounds of a Scottish band and dockside fireworks display.
