Camped at the Penola Forest Information Stop, 4 kms north of Nangwarry, where we just bought a house this morning!This is a quiet picnic area, information on forestry in the region, and a walking trail through an adjoining forest arboretum.
Interpretive signs provide current information on forestry, the founding of forestry and of the growth of the industry in the Region.
The adjoining Arboretum, mainly planted in 1934 provides a practical comparison into the growth of various Pine and Eucalypt species.
The walking trail throught the arboretum takes about 20 minutes.
