Long hot practice hike in Darwin today. Pretty much in full sun all day at 35 deg until it cooled down to 32 near Leanyer. All flat terrain but tough. Felt some heatstroke coming on around 2pm at 25k so had a lay down under a tree for 20 min. All good, so not worried about any warm weather in France but the hills and mountains are still a concern!!!
No that is not me in the picture. Checked him and he was ok. Only mad dogs and Englishmen walk in the midday sun. So I guess he was Australian laying under the only shade on the path! I kept on walking………
Finished at a friends place near Casuarina a little after 4pm. Put my feet in the cold pool and a shower Bliss! Back At Howard Springs 6pm and phone say’s it’s still 30 deg.
